Of all the events we participate in throughout the year, Relay For Life Hampshire County remains our most personal.

Each year, we gather not only to raise money for the fight against cancer, but also to remember those we have lost, celebrate those who have survived, and support families who continue the battle every day.

This year’s event was another tremendous success, raising $4,900 through the community breakfast, car show, and silent auction. Every dollar raised represents hope, support, and a commitment to finding a cure.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the presentation of the first annual Susan Grady Award. Susan dedicated more than three decades of support, service, and advocacy to Relay For Life, touching countless lives along the way. Her commitment to the cause and the people she served leaves a legacy that will continue for generations.

The award, beautifully handcrafted by Scotty Hennen, was presented to Susan’s brother-in-law, FJ, who owns a beautiful 1940 Ford.

Events like Relay For Life remind us that community is about more than gathering together during the good times. It is about standing beside one another during life’s greatest challenges, honoring those we have lost, and continuing the fight for those who still need hope.

Thank you to every volunteer, participant, sponsor, donor, and supporter who made this year’s event possible. Together, we continue to make a difference—one life, one family, and one community at a time.
